Description

This use case shows you how to migrate a Talend 6.4 on-premises project to Talend Cloud.

First, you migrate users from Talend Administration Center to Talend Cloud. Then create a Talend Cloud project and connect it to Studio 7.3. You create the necessary development (dev) and production (prod) environments, workspaces, and set up the Remote Engines to run your project on Talend Cloud. Then export the Jobs from Talend 6.4 and import them into Studio 7.3. Before publishing them to Talend Cloud, you update the context variables to follow the naming standard for the connection parameters of Talend Cloud and slightly modify the Jobs to redirect some outputs to Talend Cloud logs.

You learn how to enable the Remote Engine to run Jobs directly from Talend Studio for debugging purposes.

You deploy Jobs and create tasks and plans to run them in the dev environment. Finally, you promote your artifacts from the dev environment to the prod environment.
