Description

This use case introduces you to the key requirements of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and how you can address them using the Talend products.

The critical aspect of GDPR is that it impacts the collection and use of personal data. GDPR compliance requires any organization controlling or processing personal data of EU residents to have a solution that allows them to demonstrate that personal data is being captured, processed, and protected in a controlled, lawful, and fair manner. They also need to ensure that data is appropriately anonymized, retained, and shared transparently with the data subjects and deleted when asked to do so.

Complying with GDPR requires companies around the world to have a clear data governance plan.

Talend provides an end-to-end solution that meets these requirements. Talend can accelerate the build of a data warehouse to address the data storage, retention, and security requirements that are mandated by GDPR:

  • Talend Data Integration: data capture and integration

  • Talend Data Catalog: data mapping and lineage

  • Talend Data Services: data portability

  • Talend Data Quality: data anonymization

  • Talend Data Preparation: self-service curation
